Come enjoy one mile of ocean front camping on Casco Bay! Since 1958, our friendly staff has been welcoming camping families to our 115 spacious sites and cottages. We are conveniently located just north of Portland and only 6 miles from highway route 295.
Imagine, waking up to the sounds and smells of the salt water bay just feet from your campsite! While at Recompence you can relax the days away taking in our beautiful shorefront, towering pines and open farm fields of the neighboring Wolfe’s Neck Farm. For those looking for more activities, there are endless possibilities. There are many local hiking trails, the Children’s Day Camp at Wolfe’s Neck Farm, swimming, fishing, kayaking, and canoeing. And in our immediate area there are endless shopping opportunities with LL Bean and over 100 outlet shops in Freeport, museums, food festivals, country fairs, lighthouses, golf courses, and ferries to local islands, antique shows, summer theaters and much more!
