It is a place for people to reaffirm their connection to nature: to regain a sense of their place in it. It is a place of serenity and peace on the edge of a hectic world. The Telemark Inn is not for everyone. It is an exceptional place for those who care about the environment. It is for those who love and appreciate the natural world and wish to immerse themselves in it. Remote and comfortable, the Telemark Inn offers a truly singular outdoor vacation experience.
Located 10 miles from the village of Bethel, Maine, the Telemark Inn was built at the turn of the century in the midst of a stand of white birches as a hand-crafted Adirondack-style lodge by Leon Blanchard, founder of Prudential Insurance. Still in its pristine setting at the base of Caribou Mountain, it is surrounded by the White Mountain National Forest. In the Spring, Summer, and Fall, we offer a variety of fun, eco-educational and relaxing single day and overnight wilderness trips for groups, families, and individuals. In the Winter, enjoy the all the activities of this nationally-ranked wilderness retreat: cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sleigh rides, ice skating, and the new and exciting sport of skijoring. There is also downhill and Alpine skiing at the nearby Sunday River and Mt. Abrams resorts, both within a 15 mile drive of the Inn. Quick navigate Bethel Inns / B&Bs
